Entryway flooring ideas

Another beautiful and easy way to jazz up your house is to have a different entryway, either with a pattern or design that makes it pop out or with a different type of flooring from the rest of the house.

I gathered a few beautiful examples from Pinterest, which are from the easiest design that anyone can do it themselves and more complex ones that hiring help would probably be best.

What do you think of these ideas?
Do you prefer a normal entryway that blends or a stand out one?

  1. I really prefer a simpler look with an entryway that blends. But, several of the designs you picked are awesome. I love the look of the compass and the diagonally-laid brick. Both great designs.

    1. The compass one is also one of my favourites.

  2. I love the shine of the third picture down. I love the contrast of the one with wood in between the marble. I need to copy it and put it in my dream home book.
