Most beautiful sailing destinations in the world

Happy Women's day!
On this wonderful day, we have a very special guest writing for us an awesome post.

Nicole contacted me asking to do a collaboration, she is such a lovely lady, and with such a wonderful potential that I quickly said yes.
She is an avid traveller, always seeking for new adventures, passionate about yoga and healthy living.
To me one of her best features is the fact that she enjoys sharing her experiences with others.
You can find her on Twitter and Facebook if you would like to know more.

Most beautiful sailing destinations in the world

There is so much more to sailing than just being on the water. It is also about enjoying the nature and literally, keeping the ropes in your own hands. Harnessing the elements of nature for your own pleasure is not a feeling that is easily surpassed by any other. The globe is full of amazing places to sail and to experience different waters and different winds while enjoying the variety that the world has to offer. Here are some of the most gorgeous destinations for sailors.

The Ancient Nile

Perhaps it is best to give up control and hire a traditional sailing boat – Dahabiya for the authentic experience. You can start from Cairo and sail to Luxor, making a couple of stops along the way. In Luxor, you will be amazed with the glory of the ancient Pharaohs and their treasures. Aswan has to be one of your stops. You can see the Aswan Dam as a landmark, but also the ancient buildings like the Temple of Isis or the Temple of Philae.

The Amazing Turkey

One of the most interesting itineraries in Turkey is all about exploring the Lycian Coast. Karacaoren is the place where you will have a peaceful night at a bay, while Ucagiz boasts an amazing Turkish bath and transport to the vibrant, local market.

The Stunning Queensland

Gold Coast and Surfers Paradise are the gathering places of all surfers in the world. However, those waves are made by the wind, and good wind is precisely what you need for good sailing. Therefore, head there and spend a couple of days enjoying this relaxing, yet eventful place. If you want something even more secluded and less busy, set our sails to the Fraser Island and see those turquoise waters and white sands from up close.

The Exotic French Polynesia

Tahiti has stunning nature, amazing culture and people that are among the friendliest ones in the world. You can enjoy the luxury of Bora Bora over water bungalows, but also, you can go and check out the natural wonders like black pearl farms of Tahaa or pink sand beaches of Tikehau. Also, you can follow the itineraries of wonderful cruises to Tahiti and learn all about the life and work of the amazing Gauguin.

The Glorious Greece

When it comes to sailing around the stunning Greek waters, people usually choose between Mykonos and Santorini. It is absolutely impossible to choose between these two, so make sure that you have enough time to visit both. The volcanic origin of the Santorini sand makes it unique – there are black beaches on this island. Make sure you visit them.

The Secluded Croatia

Hundreds of remarkable islands of Croatian coastline will take your breath away. The interesting Adriatic coastline will entertain you with the old town of Dubrovnik, as well as the heart shaped Galesnjak island. You will stumble upon charming, little islets with monasteries on them, as well as the big, inhabited islands where the kind people offer glorious wine, cheese and dried meat. Crystal clear waters and beautiful sights are reasons enough to make Croatia your next sailing destination.

The Wonderful Galapagos

This exotic place will take your breath away. Head to Ecuador and ask around the best itineraries to use, to fully experience this ecological paradise. San Cristobal, Floreana and Santa Cruz have a lot to offer. When you finish the tour of the sea, embark on the land and check out the famous Galapagos turtles, iguanas and other endemic species.

Sailing is wonderful for you, but it is also great to do it with your friends. Having fun on the water, taking care of food, drinks and cleaning make the days go by pretty fast. Doing these activities as a group brings people together and enriches friendships. Therefore, turn your sailing trip into a bonding journey with your friends or family.
