London Stansted - England

I spent 1 day at London Stansted waiting for my transit flight, and had some time to kill.

So we decided to go into the Mountfitchet Castle and Norman Village. You can see their website here.

The castle is an open-air museum of medieval life in 1066. Apart from going in the houses, castle and fortress, you can feed the animals that are just roaming about there.

This is a small place, but it holds such nice historical scenes and the entrance fee is totally worth it.

There is also a toy museum in the castle area which is pretty cool. It has toys from Victorian era to the 1990´s. Apart from it they also have a haunted manor.
To go up to them, there is a path with a few warnings and dinosaur dummies. Which is kind of funny but quite nice.

Outside the castle, the area surrounding it is pleasant, kind of cute.

And to top it off we had a very nice lunch at a tea room there.

Did you enjoy it?
I did.
Leave me a comment letting me know.
